Everything in the YAKAP workflow
The first three are ours. The rest is the YAKAP spec, covered.
PCU BridgeOnly on SeriousMD
Custom transfer from the PhilHealth PCU Checker straight into SeriousMD, plus a running PCU Tracking Sheet for your clinic. This is not an API integration, because PhilHealth does not yet expose a public PCU API to EMR providers. We built the transfer ourselves so your staff is not re-typing PCU results by hand.
One-Encode submissionOnly on SeriousMD
One unified visit record carries the whole encounter: PCU result, YES (MCA), FPE, consultation, prescriptions, dispensing and labs, in the chart your doctor already uses. SeriousMD builds the XML from that same record and submits it to the YAKAP backend. You never re-encode the same patient into a separate PhilHealth tool.
Tranche GuardOnly on SeriousMD
Month-by-month reconciliation of who is counted toward Tranche 1 (monthly SAP1) and Tranche 2 (annual SAP2), and who has a gap, with the reason per patient: a consult still pending submission needs fixing, a follow-up visit that needs no repeat FPE does not. Every month carries its estimated Tranche 1 value, so an open gap shows up as pesos while you can still do something about it.
Masterlist intake
Pull the PhilHealth registration masterlist straight into your patient records. Duplicates get caught on the way in, so nobody is cleaning up a double list afterwards.
PhilHealth case submission
Tranche 1 and Tranche 2 submissions to the YAKAP backend, validated before submit so errors surface in your clinic instead of at PhilHealth.
First Patient Encounter (FPE)
Full FPE capture. Patients continuing at your clinic in consecutive years do not need a repeat FPE, and SeriousMD flags them so your staff does not redo the work.
NCD health risk assessment
Non-communicable disease risk assessment captured as structured data, not free text.
Immunization history
Every patient's immunization record follows them from visit to visit.
Consultation records
Full clinical documentation for every YAKAP consultation, in the same chart you use for private patients.
ICD-10 coding
The doctor codes the diagnosis to ICD-10 while the patient is still in the room.
EKAS generation
Electronic Konsulta Assessment Sheet generated from the encounter. E-signature supported.
EPRES generation
Electronic prescription off the same record, e-signature supported.
MCA / YES form
Member consent captured through PhilHealth's digital YES flow: the PCU 2 transaction number and proof are stored on the visit record, and SeriousMD reminds you in-app to record the number in your HCI Portal, since the MCA is not part of any EMR's automatic submission. A printable form for wet signature is included as fallback.
Medicine dispensing
Dispensing records against the YAKAP medicine benefit, tied to the prescription that generated them.
Medicine catalog
We maintain the catalog against the YAKAP essential medicines list, so your staff is not tracking changes to it.
Lab results encoding
Structured lab result capture, with template-based encoding for the high-volume panels.
Daily visit reports
Per-day encounter reporting for PhilHealth and for your own clinic operations.
Yearly KPI report
Where your clinic landed against its YAKAP obligations for the year.
Standards and interoperability
| Standard | Supported | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PhilHealth YAKAP API v1.1 | Yes | Certified January 2026. This is the submission path. |
| ICD-10 | Yes | Diagnosis coding at the point of care. |
| HL7 FHIR R4 | On request | Scoped and built per engagement. If your facility or integration partner needs it, ask and we will scope it with you. |
| LOINC | On request | Same basis as FHIR. |
Data privacy and security
| Item | Position |
|---|---|
| National Privacy Commission | Registered as a Personal Information Controller. |
| Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) | Compliant. Your clinic and your patients own the data, not us. |
| Infrastructure | Hosted on Amazon Web Services, whose infrastructure is ISO 27001, SOC 2 and PCI DSS certified. |
| Encryption | Encrypted in transit and at rest. |
| Credentials | Passwords stored as one-way hashes, never readable by SeriousMD staff. |
| Track record | Trusted by clinics across the Philippines since 2016, with 32,000+ users on the platform. |
Support and service levels
| Commitment | Level |
|---|---|
| Channels | In-app chat, email, phone. Filipino and English. |
| Submission-blocking issues | Prioritized. A clinic that cannot submit is urgent, not a queue item. |
| PhilHealth policy changes | We follow PhilHealth issuances closely because our certification depends on them, and we pass along what we learn. Official announcements still come from PhilHealth. |
| Onboarding | Standard onboarding is included: we get your clinic set up and your staff trained. Larger or more complex migrations are scoped with you. |
| Re-certification | PhilHealth requires a certified provider to certify again whenever it updates the spec. We handle that. |
