Abigail Crisanta De Castro

Registered Psychologist

Hi! I'm Abigail Crisanta De Castro and I am a Registered Psychologist providing online psychological services for adults seeking support for emotional distress and personal difficulties. I currently practice at MALD Mental Health Services in Cavite, St. Arnold Center for Integral Development in Quezon City, and Illuminare Psychological Services. Through SeriousMD, I offer online therapy exclusively and am open to working with new clients. I work with adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, difficulties in emotion regulation, relationship and attachment issues, self-esteem and identity concerns, and academic or work-related challenges. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by recurring emotional patterns or feeling stuck despite ongoing efforts to cope on their own. My therapeutic approach integrates ACT, attachment-based perspectives, and cognitive-behavioral principles. I work collaboratively with clients to clarify values, strengthen self-trust, and respond to challenges with intention rather than reactivity. This involves helping clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and internal experiences, and how these influence behavior, relationships, and psychological distress. When helpful, I integrate emotion regulation strategies and mindfulness-based practices, particularly for concerns involving emotional intensity, anxiety, or stress. Sessions are guided by thoughtful assessment and collaborative goal-setting, allowing therapy to move at a steady and intentional pace. I aim to help clients gain clarity, develop self-understanding, and work toward changes that are realistic and sustainable in daily life. I believe that therapy reflects a person’s readiness for change. While therapy offers guidance and structure, growth ultimately occurs through the client’s own engagement in the process. My role is to provide a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space, supporting clients toward greater emotional balance, insight, and long-term psychological well-being.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book a schedule today?

Yes. Same-day appointments may be accommodated subject to availability. If a request is not accepted within 24 hours, it will be automatically cancelled by the system.

How long does a typical session last?

The first consultation focuses on understanding your concerns, exploring your experiences, and identifying the kind of support that would best help you. It typically lasts 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes. Regular therapy sessions usually run for 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the nature of the session and your needs.

Reschedulling and Cancellation Policy

Clients may reschedule or cancel their appointment at least 4 hours before the scheduled session. For same-day bookings, rescheduling or cancellation must be made at least 3 hours prior to the appointment. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made beyond these timeframes will result in the forfeiture of the session payment. This policy is in place to respect the clinician’s time and to allow other clients who may need support the opportunity to book the available slot. Thank you
