Dr. Pia Babao Guballa has always been deeply interested in people's stories and in understanding how they think and feel. She graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a double major in Bachelor of Science, Health Sciences, and Bachelor of Arts in History, with a minor in Hispanic studies. She earned her dual degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health. After completing her medical internship at The Medical City, she took her residency training in psychiatry at the Makati Medical Center, where she served as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Babao Guballa has experience in working with patients with general psychiatric concerns such as anxiety, mood, and psychotic disorders. Her professional interests include geriatric psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and collaborative and integrated mental health care. She is also available to conduct talks and lectures on general mental health and well-being upon request.

Can I book a schedule today?

Kindly book your requested consult dates at least three to five days prior. Note that while some dates may reflect availability, the doctor designates only a certain number for new patient consults and known follow-up patients per day.

Can I book a face to face consultation with you?

Yes, I accept patients for face to face consult, but request that appointments be made at least three days prior. Known patients who have been seen online and prefer to shift to face to face or vice versa may shift to their preferred platform at their preference.

How long does a typical session last?

New consults are one hour and follow-up consults last between 30-45 minutes. Sessions may extend or be shorter depending on the case and needs of the patient. For your consult I recommend being in a quiet and private area where you will be comfortable.

Do you issue Medical Certificates?

Yes, but am only able to issue certificates after the second or third consult. Kindly note that medical certificates shall only be given for specific valid reasons and after the consultation. As a medical certificate is a legal document affixed with my signature, it will incur an additional charge of P500. Prior to releasing medical certificates, a consent form to release your medical information will also need to be signed.

Do you accept pediatric patients?

At present I only accept patients aged 21 and older.

Do I need to pay first to get an appointment?

Yes, you will have to pay the fee before I will receive the request. The consultation fee includes only the following: assessing the patient regarding the complaint, giving an initial impression, and appropriate management.

Which HMO's/Healthcards do you accept?

I am not affiliated with any HMO's/Healthcards at this time.
