Dr. Pia Babao Guballa has always been deeply interested in people's stories and in understanding how they think and feel. She graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a double major in Bachelor of Science, Health Sciences, and Bachelor of Arts in History, with a minor in Hispanic studies. She earned her dual degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health. After completing her medical internship at The Medical City, she took her residency training in psychiatry at the Makati Medical Center, where she served as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Babao Guballa has experience in working with patients with general psychiatric concerns such as anxiety, mood, and psychotic disorders. Her professional interests include geriatric psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and collaborative and integrated mental health care. She is also available to conduct talks and lectures on general mental health and well-being upon request.

I can provide assessment and management for general psychiatric conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, among others. I hope to provide a safe space to work with patients for their mental health concerns. 
 Important: Please note that this clinic is for non-emergency consultations only. If you or your loved one are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, overt agitation or violence, or distressing perceptual disturbances like hallucinations or delusions, please proceed to the nearest emergency room for immediate intervention.

Can I book a schedule today?

Yes. As long as there is an available schedule, requests for appointments will be immediately accommodated. However, it is advisable that requests for appointments be made at least 48 hours prior.

How long does a typical session last?

New consults are one hour and follow-up consults last between 30-45 minutes. Sessions may extend or be shorter depending on the case and needs of the patient. For your consult I recommend being in a quiet and private area where you will be comfortable.

Can I book a face to face consultation with you?

Yes, I accept patients for face to face consult, but request that appointments be made at least 24 hours prior. Patients who have been seen online and prefer to shift to face to face or vice versa may shift to their preferred platform at their preference.

Can I message you via the NowServing app?

Yes, you can send me a message through the NowServing app once I already accepted your appointment. You will receive a reply as soon as possible.

Do you issue Medical Certificates?

Yes. Kindly note that medical certificates shall only be given for specific valid reasons and after the consultation. As a medical certificate is a legal document affixed with my signature, it will incur an additional charge of P500. Prior to releasing medical certificates, a consent form to release your medical information will also need to be signed through a link sent to your email.

Do you accept pediatric patients?

At present I only accept patients aged 19 and older.

Do I need to pay first to get an appointment?

Yes, you will have to pay the fee before I will receive the request. The consultation fee includes only the following: examining the patient regarding the complaint, giving the correct diagnosis, and giving the appropriate management/prescription. There will be additional fees charges to you for any additional services (such as medical certificates) offered during the consultation.
