Dr. Pia Babao Guballa has always been deeply interested in people's stories and in understanding how they think and feel. She graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a double major in Bachelor of Science, Health Sciences, and Bachelor of Arts in History, with a minor in Hispanic studies. She earned her dual degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health. After completing her medical internship at The Medical City, she took her residency training in psychiatry at the Makati Medical Center, where she served as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Babao Guballa has experience in working with patients with general psychiatric concerns such as anxiety, mood, and psychotic disorders. Her professional interests include geriatric psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and collaborative and integrated mental health care. She is also available to conduct talks and lectures on general mental health and well-being upon request.

What services do you offer?

I can provide assessment and management for general psychiatric conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, among others. I hope to provide a safe space to work with patients for their mental health concerns. 
 Important: Please note that this clinic is for non-emergency consultations only. If you or your loved one are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, overt agitation or violence, or distressing perceptual disturbances like hallucinations or delusions, please proceed to the nearest emergency room for immediate intervention.

Can I book a schedule today?

Yes. As long as there is an available schedule, requests for appointments will be immediately accommodated. However, it is advisable that requests for appointments be made at least 48 hours prior.

How long does a typical session last?

New consults are one hour and follow-up consults last between 30-45 minutes. Sessions may extend or be shorter depending on the case and needs of the patient. For your consult I recommend being in a quiet and private area where you will be comfortable.
