What to expect during a mental health consultation with the Psychologist?

A mental health consultation provides a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to discuss your concerns, experiences, and goals with a psychologist. During the session, you may expect: -An initial discussion of your concerns. -Exploration of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. -A psychological assessment, when appropriate. -Collaborative goal setting. -Recommendations and treatment planning. Please note that the first consultation is primarily focused on understanding your concerns and gathering relevant information. While some guidance and support may be provided during the session, a comprehensive understanding of your situation may require additional sessions.

Do you issue Medical Certificates?

As a psychologist, I do not issue Medical Certificates, as these are provided by licensed physicians. However, when clinically appropriate, I may provide a Mental Health Certificate based on a professional psychological assessment and/or evaluation conducted within the scope of a psychologist's practice. This certificate may be used for school, work, or other legitimate documentation purposes and is issued at the psychologist's professional discretion. A separate professional fee applies for the preparation of the certificate. If you have questions about whether this applies to your situation, we can discuss it during your session.

Which HMO's/Healthcards do you accept?

At this time, I do not accept HMOs, health cards, or insurance-based payment arrangements. All consultations, counseling, and psychotherapy sessions are provided on a private-pay basis, with fees paid directly by the client. This setup allows for a more streamlined and personalized therapeutic process, ensuring confidentiality and flexibility in care.
