Is teleconsultation appropriate for colorectal and anal conditions?

Yes. Many colorectal and anal conditions can be safely assessed initially via teleconsultation through detailed history-taking and review of investigations. If a physical examination or procedure is needed, you will be advised to proceed with an in-person clinic visit at one of the affiliated hospitals.
