As a Clinical Dietitian, my role is to take care of patients’ nutrition needs as part of their overall treatment and recovery. I work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to make sure that each patient receives the right kind of nutrition based on their medical condition and individual requirements. I assess their nutritional status, plan and adjust their meals, and monitor their progress to help improve their health outcomes. For example, I provide diet recommendations for patients with conditions like diabetes, heart disease, kidney problems, or those recovering from surgery or illness. Aside from creating meal plans, I also educate patients and their families about proper nutrition, helping them understand how food can support healing and prevent complications. Overall, being a clinical dietitian means ensuring that nutrition becomes an essential part of patient care and recovery.
