Dr. Putiz is a graduate of a general psychiatry residency program with 48 months of clinical, research and administrative training. Clinical aspects involved outpatient, inpatient and emergency psychiatric care. His residency research focused on the usability of telepsychiatry in outpatient settings, thus providing further evidence for this type of intervention. Administrative training was part and parcel of the final year of residency, and this includes his service as Chief Resident of the training program. Dr. Putiz is into wellness and other physical activities. He plays tennis and golf, and enjoys indoor cycling and calisthenics. He practices yoga and meditation for nine years now. The approach to care centrally involves biological and psychological interventions (medications and talk therapy). At every step of the process, sociocultural and spiritual contributions are considered. Lifestyle and wellness interventions are integrated.
