I am Erla—a registered psychologist, psychometrician, and educator. I believe that change is the only constant in life and that living well means learning to embrace the present one day at a time. My helping journey began back in high school—first with peers, then with students, and now I'm honored to extend that care to the wider community through counseling and psychotherapy. My care is grounded in a biopsychosocialspiritual model, recognizing that healing and growth touch every dimension of a person—body, mind, relationships, and spirit. For clients who value it, I can also draw on faith-based-integrated approaches alongside psychological practice—but this is always optional and never assumed. My priority is to meet you where you are, respecting your own beliefs, identity, and worldview, and creating a space that is affirming and welcoming to all clients regardless of faith, orientation, or background. At the core of my approach is the belief that you are not the problem; the problem is the problem. I trust that we all have a natural desire to grow and the inner resources to navigate life's challenges. I believe that people are the experts of their own lives—they know what matters to them and what changes they want to see. My role is to walk alongside you, listening empathically and supporting you in discovering your own strengths, solutions, and goals in a space that feels safe, collaborative, and respectful. My primary therapeutic orientation is grounded in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). This approach emphasizes "solution talk" over "problem talk" and encourages clients to recognize what's already working and how to do more of it. Together, we'll explore new ways of viewing your situation, identify useful behaviors, and co-create realistic action plans that support meaningful change. To meet each client where they are, I also draw on techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-focused therapy, and Narrative therapy—and, for clients who wish to incorporate it, faith-based counseling as well. Rather than following a single fixed protocol, I tailor the combination of approaches to what will genuinely serve you. I value what you can do, what's working, and the steps—no matter how small—that move you closer to your preferred future. I believe that growth happens through action, reflection, and recognition of your own agency. As a culturally aware practitioner, I deeply respect the diversity of each individual's background. I commit to practicing cultural humility, acknowledging my own biases, and continually learning to create an inclusive, affirming environment where you feel seen and heard. I also see myself as a lifelong learner—engaging in ongoing supervision, training, and self-reflection to ensure I provide ethical, compassionate, and effective care. This commitment has led me to pursue several certifications in Traumatology, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and other therapeutic modalities, and I am currently furthering my training in Marriage and Family Therapy. Above all, I believe that each person has a unique purpose and direction. Sometimes we simply need help reconnecting with it. Healing begins with the willingness to change, and I am honored to be part of that journey with every client I serve.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you issue Medical Certificates?

Please note that a Mental Health Certificate is a legal document issued with my professional signature and may require an additional fee. These certificates are not covered by insurance and are issued only for valid reasons after a consultation. Clients are advised to confirm whether their employer or institution accepts certificates from online consultations with a psychologist. For Mental Health Certificates (for employment or other purposes), only a provisional diagnostic impression may be provided, as a full diagnosis requires a comprehensive psychological assessment. A referral letter may be issued when appropriate. A Fit-to-Work Certificate or Clearance is issued only after proper evaluation and completion of at least two (2) sessions, subject to professional judgment. For verification, my official email address and contact number are included on all certificates.

Do you give Certificate of Disability for PWD ID?

Unfortunately No. Kindly find a psychiatrist for mental/emotional disabilities and neurodevelopmental pediatrician for developmental disabilities
