What is the therapy process and what should I expect?
Book an appointment through NowServing. After confirmation, you will receive a consent form to review. This is for your protection- it explains your rights, confidentiality, and how online therapy works. Any questions can be discussed during the session and may be completed before or after your appointment.
Initial sessions focus on understanding your concerns, history-taking, and assessment, leading to a mutually agreed-upon treatment plan. While therapy can help improve self-understanding, coping skills, emotional well-being, and relationships, outcomes cannot be guaranteed as therapy is a COLLABORATIVE, individualized process. Sessions may involve discussing personal or emotionally challenging topics, which can sometimes cause temporary discomfort.
Therapy progresses at YOUR PACE, with sessions continuing as long as you need. Ideally, it continue until treatment goals are achieved, but there is no fixed timeline: you are respected.
What should I prepare for an online session?
Please ensure:
- A stable internet connection
- A quiet, private space
- A functioning camera and microphone
If disconnection occurs, we will attempt to reconnect. However, the session time cannot be extended beyond the scheduled slot.
How long does a typical session last?
Each session lasts about 45 minutes to 1 hour. The total number of sessions varies depending on your concerns, goals, and progress. Therapy is a collaborative process, and duration is something we revisit together over time.
How will I know about my schedule, and how can I reschedule if needed?
Kindly check your NowServing messages REGULARLY as any updates or changes in your appointment will be communicated there.
If you need to reschedule, kindly inform your therapist as early as possible so we can move your appointment to the earliest availability. Requests made very close to the session start time (e.g., within an hour) may be considered a no-show, as the time has already been reserved for you.
Joining a few minutes early is encouraged to check your internet connection and address any technical concerns.
What are your cancellation policies?
As much as possible, patients are encouraged to carefully choose and commit to their selected appointment schedule. Once a booking is confirmed and payment is processed through platform, the consultation slot is considered reserved and is no longer available for other patients.
Cancellations are strongly discouraged unless absolutely necessary, as each slot represents a dedicated professional consultation time that has already been allocated. Cancellation requests are subject to platform policies and system procedures, and any refund decisions are handled through the system.
If you are unable to proceed with the original schedule, you may opt to reschedule based on available slots (please refer to the rescheduling guidelines in the FAQ).
What is your no-show and late policy?
A no-show occurs when a client does not attend the scheduled session and does not notify the clinic within the 15-minute waiting period. The psychologist will wait up to 15 minutes from the scheduled start time; after this, the session is marked as a no-show and charged in full, as the time is reserved exclusively for you. If you arrive late, the session will still end at the original scheduled time and the full fee applies. In case of technical difficulties, please inform us immediately so the situation can be addressed appropriately.
Is everything discussed confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is strictly observed, except in situations required by law or when there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. Full details are outlined in the consent form provided after appointment confirmation.
How are fees structured, and are there additional charges?
The session fee covers only the scheduled therapy time. Most of the time, I may recommend a psychological assessment (ie personality tests) to gain a deeper and more structured understanding of you. Assessments can enhance self-awareness and help guide therapy more effectively, but they are optional and will be discussed during sessions.
Assessment fees are separate from therapy session's fee because they involve additional professional time outside the session for test administration, scoring, interpretation, and clinical integration. The price range will usually be around 300-700 pesos.
Billing is typically handled through NowServing, or alternative payment options (ie Gcash) to be sent in our messages.
