Dr. Saranza is a board-certified neurologist practicing in Cebu, Philippines. He earned his undergraduate and medical degree from the University of the Philippines. He completed his Adult Neurology training at the Philippine General Hospital, and further trained in Parkinson's Disease & Movement Disorders at the University of Toronto-Toronto Western Hospital under the mentorship of Prof. Anthony Lang. In his senior year of fellowship training, he had rotations in subspecialty clinics, including Electrophysiology in Movement Disorders and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Programming. He also performs botulinum toxin injections for movement disorders (e.g., dystonia, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, post-stroke spasticity) as well as for other indications, such as sialorrhea. In the hospitals he is affiliated with, he has been given privileges to see pediatric patients with movement disorders. Dr. Saranza is an active member of the Movement Disorders Society of the Philippines (MDSP) and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (IPMDS).
