Frequently Asked Questions

What is a typical session like?

For the first consultation, we'd discuss the main issues at hand and get into the background of it all. A lot of questions may be asked about your history and the specifics of the current symptoms. The goal is to have a thorough assessment and give you a working diagnosis. Then, the pharmacologic and/or psychotherapeutic interventions may be discussed. Finally, we'll talk about your future goals for yourself and what you want to get from continuing these sessions. This will help us in coming up with the best plan for you moving forward. The next sessions will consist of us recapping the previous one, checking for improvements in symptoms and possible side effects of medications, and continuing the plan we made for you.

How long does a typical session last?

A typical session lasts around 45-60 minutes per patient. Some leeway may be given for first-time consults.

Do you issue Medical Certificates?

Yes. Take note that a medical certificate is a legal document affixed with my signature so there will be an additional charge. Medical certificates are not part of insurance coverage and shall only be given for specific valid reasons and after the consultation.
