Dr. Alampay earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of the Philippines Diliman, then pursued his medical degree at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERM). He finished post-graduate internship from UP-PGH and returned to UERM to complete his Psychiatry residency training, where he served as chief resident for his final year of training. He believes firmly in working with patients through compassionate, respectful and grounded approaches in psychotherapy, pharmaceutical management when indicated, and lifestyle changes for holistic, individualized healing, growth, and resilience. He has experience working with individuals of all stages of life, navigating through their struggles of stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, mania, psychosis, ADHD, autism, and other mental health conditions. How long do I need to wait to get a response to my booking request?

Please book at least 24 hours prior to the desired schedule to ensure that your request will be seen and verified. You may expect me to respond from 8AM to 11PM during hours when I am not engaged with a patient.

Do you issue Medical Certificates?

Yes however I only issue medical certificates after at least the second consultation. It will take time and information to correctly assess a patient. Take note that a medical certificate is a legal document affixed with my signature. Medical certificates are not part of insurance coverage and shall only be given for specific valid reasons and after the consultation.

How long does a typical session last?

A typical session lasts around 60 minutes for new patients. It would be helpful to bring along a family member or trusted individual from whom collateral information can be taken. Follow-ups can be shorter or take just as long depending on the case and needs of the patient.
