Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book a schedule today?

Yes - As long as there is an available schedule, requests for appointments will be immediately accommodated. If your requested date is not available, I will work with you in finding the nearest available schedule that is also convenient for you. For urgent concerns (i.e. suicidal, psychotic, with threat to self or others), please proceed to the NEAREST EMERGENCY ROOM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE as these are potentially life-threatening concerns.

Do I need to pay first to get an appointment?

Yes, we implement a policy of settling the consultation fee first before reserving your appointment. Please do so at least 2 hours before your requested schedule. The consultation fee includes only the following: psychiatric interview / history-taking regarding the complaint, formulating the primary working diagnosis, and giving the appropriate management (psychotherapy and/or prescription for psychotropics). There will be additional fees for any additional services requested during the consultation (i.e. medical certificates, fit to work, school accommodation letter, etc.).

How long does a typical session last?

A typical session for a new patient lasts around 45 minutes while follow-ups usually take around 30 minutes. Please be mindful of the time since extensions will result in delays in appointments of patients after you.
