Laurel is a St. Luke’s Medical Center – Global City–trained Gastroenterologist and a Diplomate of the Philippine College of Physicians, the Philippine Society of Gastroenterology, and the Philippine Society of Digestive Endoscopy. He performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and both conventional and underwater endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), with precision and care. Guided by a passion for innovation and lifelong learning, Dr. Laurel is set to pursue a one-year Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Kanagawa Cancer Center in Yokohama, Japan (May 2026–April 2027), where he will focus on early gastric cancer detection and advanced endoscopic resection techniques. His vision is to advance gastrointestinal care in the Philippines by combining world-class training, modern technology, and compassionate, patient-centered practice—ensuring that every patient receives the best possible care.
