Dr. Darang is a General Physician, and a Diplomate of the Philippine College of Addiction Medicine. He has years of experience in attending to patients with psychiatric or mental health concerns while he was training in the Department of Psychiatry for a couple of years; and as a Physician-Hospitalist in a Custodial Care/Institution primarily attending to In-patients and Out-Patients with Mental Illnesses. Attending to patients for treatment and recovery of non-urgent or non-emergent psychiatric/mental health conditions is within the scope of his practice - moreover, of a licensed physician who has experience in such a field. Please take note that he is not a member, diplomate, or fellow of any board or psychiatric association. For Psychiatric Emergencies such as (1) self-harm behavior; or suicidal thoughts, plans, threats, gestures, or attempt; (2) destructive and/or violent behavior, it is OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE that the patient be brought to the nearest hospital.
