Online General Neurology (Teleneurology) Clinic
This is an online general neurology clinic providing specialist consultation and follow-up care for adult patients with a wide range of neurological conditions.
Conditions managed include:
Stroke and cerebrovascular disease
Seizures and epilepsy
Dementia and cognitive disorders
Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders
Headache and migraine
Brain and spinal cord tumors
Central nervous system infections
Myasthenia gravis and other neuromuscular disorders
Peripheral neuropathy
Demyelinating disorders (e.g., multiple sclerosis)
Teleconsultations focus on detailed history-taking, review of prior laboratory tests, imaging (CT/MRI), EEG, and other investigations, as well as diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and follow-up care.
Limitations of Online Consultation
Teleneurology has limitations and may not fully replace in-person care. Certain parts of the neurological examination (such as reflex testing, detailed sensory examination, and fundoscopic examination) cannot be performed online.
This service is not intended for medical emergencies, including acute stroke symptoms, new-onset or uncontrolled seizures, sudden loss of consciousness, or rapidly progressive neurological deficits. Patients with these symptoms should seek immediate emergency care.
In-person consultation, hospital referral, or further diagnostic testing may be recommended when clinically necessary.
