Dr. Melanie Leigh Supnet earned her undergraduate degree in Pharmacy and medical degree from the University of Sto. Tomas. She completed Neurology and Psychiatry training at the University of Sto. Tomas Hospital and further trained in Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders as a clinical and research fellow at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School under the mentorship of Dr. Nutan Sharma and Dr. Cristopher Bragg. She had several rotations in subspecialty clinics and part of her training was focused highly on Botulinum toxin injection for neurological disorders and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). She also worked with the Center for Rare Neurological Diseases of MGH and the Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center to study rare neurological diseases to provide biological insights towards design and implementation of clinical trials. She has a strong commitment to research, having published in the field of Movement Disorders, including first-author publications and co-authorship in respectable peer-reviewed journals. She authored a book chapter in Movement Disorders and is also a peer reviewer for various international Neurology and Movement Disorders Journal.
