Dr. Ong is one of the two pioneering Clinical Research Fellows in Cardio-Oncology in the Philippines and in the ASEAN region. He is a Diplomate and Fellow, Philippine College of Cardiology and of the Philippine College of Physicians. He is capable of handling clinical responsibilities and duties with focus, dedication, and compassion with excellent bedside manners and God-fearing orientation. He is a reliable member of the Makati Medical Center community, especially during the unprecedented and challenging months of the COVID pandemic. He has published many scientific papers in the peer-reviewed ASEAN Heart Journal (2020 and 2021) and has submitted manuscripts to other reputable scientific publications, presented numerous papers in various local and international fora, and he is actively involved in the several humanitarian civic assistance and socioeconomic programs of Makati Medical Center and all the programs of the Philippine Heart Association.
