Welcome to RJ Japone’s Psychology Practice I’m RJ Japone, a licensed psychologist and psychotherapist. I provide a space where you can slow down, make sense of what you’re going through, and explore the changes you want to make in your life. Therapy is a collaborative process. My role is not to tell you who to be or how to live your life, but to work alongside you as you better understand yourself, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, navigate difficult experiences, and build skills that support your well-being. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, and concerns related to identity, self-worth, relationships, and major life transitions. Some people seek therapy because they are struggling with a specific concern, while others may feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or uncertain about what they want next. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. My approach draws from evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Adlerian principles. I integrate these approaches according to your needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method. While these approaches guide my work, I believe therapy is ultimately about understanding you as a person—your experiences, values, relationships, strengths, struggles, and hopes. Whether you are working through a difficult period, trying to understand yourself more deeply, or considering a change in how you approach your life, therapy can be a place to pause, reflect, and gain greater clarity. The goal is not simply to feel better in the moment, but to develop a better understanding of yourself and build ways of living that feel more meaningful and aligned with your values. Sessions are available through online consultation and in person at my practice in Pasig City.

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure why things feel so heavy lately? Maybe you’re trying your best, but something inside keeps getting in the way. Struggles don’t always come with clear labels, and they don’t have to. Whatever you’re carrying matters. Therapy is a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and understand the experiences and patterns affecting you. You don’t have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or have things figured out. We work at a pace that feels manageable, with the aim of easing emotional burdens and building steadier ways of coping with life as it is. Sessions are held online, giving you access to therapy from a private and secure space where you can be at ease.
