The author holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cebu Normal University and is a Licensed Professional Teacher, having successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers. He began his professional career in education at Royal Oaks International School in Mandaue City, where he taught Chemistry and Biology. Responding to a deeper calling to serve, he later entered the Society of the Divine Word (SVD) and pursued theological studies. With the support and permission of the congregation, he subsequently pursued the study of Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine and successfully passed the Physician Licensure Examination. He formerly served as a School Physician at San Carlos School of Cebu, where he provided healthcare services to students and members of the school community. At the same time, he is pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at the University of San Jose–Recoletos School of Law, motivated by a desire to integrate the disciplines of law and medicine in his professional practice and service to others. Beyond his academic and clinical responsibilities, he remains actively involved in the medical missions of the Society of the Divine Word, providing compassionate healthcare to underserved and marginalized communities in Cebu.
