How long do I need to wait to get a response to my booking request?
I usually respond to booking requests within 24 hours. Response time may vary depending on my availability and consultation schedule.
Do I need to pay first to get an appointment?
Yes. Payment is required to confirm and reserve your appointment. Once payment is completed through NowServing, your booking request will be processed accordingly.
How long does a typical session last?
Sessions generally last around 45–50 minutes. The first consultation may involve more discussion about your concerns, relevant history, and what you hope to achieve from counseling.
How should I prepare for an online session?
Choose a quiet and private place where you feel comfortable speaking openly. Please make sure you have a stable internet connection and a device with a working camera and microphone. Joining a few minutes before your scheduled appointment is also recommended.
Can I message you via the NowServing app?
Yes. Once your appointment has been accepted, you may use the NowServing messaging feature for appointment-related concerns or brief follow-up questions. Messages are answered as soon as reasonably possible during available hours.
Is what I share during counseling confidential?
Yes. Your privacy and confidentiality are important parts of psychological services. However, confidentiality has certain ethical and legal limitations, particularly when there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others or when disclosure is required by law. These limits can be discussed during your consultation.
Can you prescribe medication?
No. Psychologists do not prescribe medication. If your concerns may benefit from medical or psychiatric evaluation, I may recommend consultation with a psychiatrist or another appropriate healthcare professional.
Do you issue Medical Certificates?
No. Medical certificates are issued by licensed physicians. If appropriate, I may provide psychological documentation within the scope of psychological practice, subject to proper evaluation.
Can you issue psychological certificates, reports, or fit-to-work/fit-to-study clearances?
These are not automatically included in a counseling or consultation session. Requests for psychological reports, certificates, or fitness-related documentation require appropriate evaluation and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Additional procedures, sessions, and fees may apply.
How do I know if I need counseling or just a consultation?
You don't need to decide beforehand. We can start with an initial consultation to better understand your concerns. From there, we can discuss whether a single consultation, short-term counseling, ongoing sessions, or referral to another professional would best suit your needs.
What if I am experiencing a mental health crisis or thinking about harming myself?
Online scheduled counseling is not a substitute for emergency care. If you believe you may harm yourself or someone else, or you are experiencing an immediate mental health emergency, please seek urgent assistance from the nearest emergency department or appropriate emergency/crisis service. Once the immediate crisis has been addressed, counseling may form part of your continuing care.
Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Yes. If possible, please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Any applicable cancellation, rescheduling, or refund rules will follow the booking arrangements indicated on NowServing.
